Find and manage form settings
Find Qubeforms settings for form access, email delivery, spam protection, and retention. Understand owner controls, plan features, and how to verify saved changes.
1. Select the form you own
Open Account → Forms → Manage or choose the form in Settings. Check the name and endpoint before editing. Settings belong to an individual form; the dashboard does not provide a separate project settings object inherited by multiple forms. Shared inbox Viewers and Triage members can use their permitted inbox actions, but only the owner can change settings. Use your account’s Subscription tab for billing.
2. Use General for identity and access
General contains Form name, Status, Allowed origins, and the copyable submission endpoint. Changing a name does not issue a new endpoint. Paused and Archived forms stop accepting public submissions and draft requests; return to Active to reuse the endpoint. An empty origin list allows any origin, so use Status to pause collection instead of deleting allowed origins.
3. Use Delivery & spam for submission behavior
Delivery & spam contains the honeypot name, Reply-To field, safe redirect allowlist, and plan-supported protection and delivery options. Webhooks and autoresponders require Starter or higher; advanced spam controls and CAPTCHA require Pro or Business; custom notification templates require Business. Privacy notice and consent field settings record evidence but do not automatically display a notice or enforce a required checkbox on your website. Save this panel using Save delivery settings.
4. Use the remaining settings tabs
Recipients manages verified notification destinations. API & routing contains Read API key rotation and Business routing rules. Team inbox manages Pro and Business sharing, with Viewer or Triage roles. A recipient is an email destination, a team member is a dashboard collaborator, and a read key is a server credential; configuring one does not create the others.
5. Understand retention and plan scope
The Forms view displays retention days, and Subscription shows the plan’s default retention. The current customer settings panels have no retention-days editor. Default retention is 30 days on Free, 90 on Starter, and 365 on Pro and Business. Subscription changes apply to owned forms, while existing submissions keep their assigned expiration. Follow Export and retention to preserve records instead of assuming an upgrade extends their lifetime.
6. Save and verify one change at a time
Use the save button in the relevant panel, confirm success, then reopen the form to inspect the saved values. Avoid editing the same form in several stale browser tabs: settings forms can submit values for other options along with the visible change. Test a new submission after changing origins, field names, or delivery settings. Keep the previous working values so you can restore them if needed.
Public form keys can appear in browser code. Read keys, management credentials, and webhook signing secrets must stay on the server.
