Managing forms

Manage forms in the Qubeforms dashboard. Create endpoints, connect websites, configure email delivery, pause or archive forms, and organize submissions and shared access.

1. Create an endpoint

Open Account → Forms. Enter a descriptive Form name and your Allowed website origin, such as https://www.example.com, then select Create endpoint. New forms start active and use the owner’s subscription plan. Use distinct names for production and test forms so you can identify their submissions easily.

2. Connect your website

Select Manage, open Settings → General, and copy the Submission endpoint. Use that URL as the HTML form action or JavaScript POST destination. Add each allowed origin on its own line, including the scheme and any non-default port. Apex and www hosts are separate origins. Save general settings before testing from your website.

3. Set up delivery

Add and verify notification recipients, confirm the Reply-To field matches an actual field name, and configure any plan-supported webhooks or autoresponders. A form can store submissions without sending an email to an unverified recipient. Submit a test and check both Submissions and Delivery status. See Verified recipients and Notification email is missing for delivery setup and diagnosis.

4. Pause or archive a form

In Settings → General, change Status to Paused or Archived and save. Both stop new submissions and draft requests through the public endpoint, which returns HTTP 404 while unavailable. Change status back to Active to reuse the endpoint. Existing records remain subject to retention. Archiving a form does not cancel billing or permanently delete its submissions.

5. Organize submissions separately

Open the form’s Submissions tab and choose Inbox, Spam, or Archived. Owners and Triage members can select records and apply Archive, Mark as spam, Not spam, or Delete. Bulk actions allow up to 250 IDs. These change submission status, not form availability. Export data you need before deletion; the dashboard has no Deleted folder or self-service recovery workflow.

6. Work with a shared form

Shared form cards display your role and Open inbox instead of owner settings. Ask the owner to change origins, recipients, or plan features. If a shared form disappears, confirm you are signed into the correct customer account and that the owner still has an eligible plan and has retained your membership.

Keep private credentials private

Public form keys can appear in browser code. Read keys, management credentials, and webhook signing secrets must stay on the server.
